Cycling from Pontarlier, France to les Rousses, France

Les Rousses
Passed through Switzerland for a while today, and the architecture and forests definitely looking more alpine. Climbed to 4,200 ft. today amidst all evergreens. The hostel here is out of town in a real Heide setting. No food for miles, but dinner smells good. No lunch today, ran into some American bikers on a high paying tour and visited with them instead. One of the leaders remembers seeing me 2 years ago somewhere. He recognized the bike.

The route the bikers at Pontaliers gave me was awesome and I saw more bikers today than I've seen since Holland. This seems to be a favorite part of France for biking. The altitude here is 3,600 ft.

The mobile service here is nonexistent, so will hope for the best from Geneva tomorrow.
