Thing went remarkably well including getting my choice of seats
on my Martinair flight. Arrirved Amsterdam Schripol at 8 this
morning, left my bike at Centraal Station and hurried over to
Statsdoelen which was full, but I waited and after about an hour
got a bed, thanks to the host recognizing me from previous
visits. Tried street corner internet, but not sure of mail results
yet. I was able to send and receive at a cybercafe, though.

Today it's off to Amstelveen to the HP office to see about
wireless hookup, power adapter and or wire hookup.
After a tram and Metro ride, followed by a 20 minute walk,
arrived at HP Netherlands headquarters and after a couple of
false leads, was able to speak to a gentleman who supplied me
with a RJ-11 adapter for Holland. Now I must find a power supply
adapter at the Bijenkorpf. The Bijenkorpf just began selling HP,
so no accessories here. Looked along the Utrechtstraat for
computer stores, but none have accessories, so it's put off until
tomorrow. Walked with friend Valarie to Cybercafe to send email,
but couldn't receive there.
On the train to Schipol now for the first of two attempts today
to get wireless. They've got the hardware, so we'll see. If
not back to this shop that was half shut down Friday afternoon
and also Monday morning all closed until 1 PM. It's so because
Sunday night is the big drinking night in Holland. We were able
to dial out and connect wireless, but were disconnected
soon. Anyhow if this message ends here I'm sending it from
the airport.
